LIBERTY, Mo. – Makenna Barhart continues to prove why she wears the Libero jersey each week, complying 47 digs on the day. The University of Indianapolis volleyball team went 1-1 today after starting the day by defeating William Jewell 3-1, and then Truman 3-1.
Barnhart dug up 22 balls against the Cardnials, and 25 against the Bulldogs.
"We passed well for the majority of the day," mentioned head coach 
Jason Reed.
DOWNING THE CARDINALS 
Grace Hegwood posted a new career high with 10 kills against William Jewell, she also had six digs and one service ace.
The Greyhounds out killed the Cardinals 59-53, taking the win in four sets. 
Emily Ellis, 
Katie Furlong, and 
Emma Jones both added nine kills each.
Junior 
Alex Equihua set the ball 45 times for UIndy, while also adding three kills and 11 digs. Defensively the Hounds posted five blocks and 66 digs during the match.
Jewell was led by Maddie Wingert who earned 12 kills and three blocks.
FALL TO TRUMAN
Senior Taylor Jaquay led the Hounds with 17 kills, one ace, and 15 digs.
The Greyhounds fells in four close matches to the Bulldogs, 3-1.
"We had a solid day of volleyball but couldn't get the result we wanted," Reed said.
The Hounds were outhit 68 to 57, as well as out blocked by 10 (17-7).
Truman was led by Sam Yancy who posted 16 kills, one ace, and 20 digs.
