EVANSVILLE- The University of Indianapolis volleyball team took their second loss of the season Saturdaym, falling at GLVC-foe Southern Indiana. The Greyhounds dropped three straight sets, 25-14, 25-23, and 25-13. Despite a close second set, the Screaming Eagles took the victory over the Hounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hounds posted 38 total team digs, led by sophomore MaKenna Barnhart who had 15.

UIndy fought hard in set two, taking it to the wire. After a USI timeout, the Screaming Eagles took the set with two back-to-back kills.

USI posted 47 kills on the Hounds, where UIndy had 28. Senior Taylor Jacquay led the team with eight kills and five digs for the Greyhounds.

"We had a rough day today and USI came out a played very well today." said head coach Jason Reed. 

Leah Anderson led the Screaming Eagles with 17 kills and 10 digs.

"We're doing some soul searching and working to figure out how to get what we see each day in practice to translate to competition," said Reed. "We believe in our group and know it's going to come together."

INSIDE THE BOX
-The Greyhounds had 27 total assists to USI's 44.
-UIndy had three blocks on the night and held USI to only one.
-The Screaming Eagles had five service aces on the night.
