ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The UIndy volleyball team (6-8) capped its fifth and final tri-match of the year with a pair of three-set affairs Saturday afternoon. After ending up on the short end of a 3-0 final versus host Lindenwood, the Greyhounds rebounded with a sweep of Southwest Baptist.
 
MATCH 1 | LU 3, UIndy 0 | 25-16, 25-22, 25-20
The Hounds ran into a hot-hitting Lions team in the opener. Lindenwood compiled a .333 hitting percentage and tacked on six aces and nine blocks to keep control of the match.

Katie Furlong, Taylor Jacquay and Elizabeth Eads each had eight kills, with the latter hitting .417 with zero attack errors. Alex Equihua amassed 34 assists and nine digs, while middles Emma Jones and Emily Ellis adding three blocks assists apiece.

MATCH 2 | UIndy 3, SBU 0 | 25-18, 25-15, 25-21
UIndy flipped the script in versus Southwest Baptist, holding the Bearcats to a meager .108 hitting percentage.

Sophomore Grace Hegwood racked upa career-high 15 kills to lead the UIndy attack. The Greenwood, Ind., native also chipped in seven digs, three blocks and an ace.

Gillian Santana and MaKenna Barnhart combined for 31 digs, while Equihua recorded 38 assists.
