INDIANAPOLIS –
Reid Werner continued to flex his dominance on the mound by adding another complete game win to his resume in Thursday's 5-2 win over Maryville. Werner struck out seven and walked only two Saints in 32 batters faced. With an ERA of only 2.0, the Senior gave up six hits in 134 pitches.
Will Smithey led the Greyhounds on the offensive end with two hits and two RBI, while
Trey Smith had three hits, and
Hunter Waning had a hit and an RBI.
Defensively
Alex Vela posted two put outs and three assists throughout the game, while Smithey added nine putouts and one assist.
Ryan Louck took the loss for Maryville giving up five runs and walking three in 5.0 innings pitched.
