ST. LOUIS, Mo. –
Taylor Peck scored her second goal of the season, assisted by
Kiki Sauceda, in the start of the second half to defeat the USML in the Hounds last match of the season, 1-0, at the Lou Fusz Soccer Complex at 2 p.m. ET.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds outshot the Tritons 12 to three in the win,
Kiki Sauceda and
Taylor Peck both led the squad with three shots each.
"Always great to get a win on the road and this win will help us capitalize and build confidence going into Monday," said Head Coach
Holly Cox. "We need to capitalize on the opportunities, we need to capitalize on the opportunities we work hard to create."
The Hounds ended with four shots on goal, while the Tritons had one. Both teams racked up 11 fouls each, and a yellow card each, with Maya Ware receiving one for USML and
Stephanie Brady received one for the Greyhounds.
"We want to score more goals, we need to be hungry the full 90 minutes." Cox added.

"A new season now begins with the start of the conference tournament," Cox said. "We need to take this one game at a time."
The Hounds will begin the GLVC Tournament on Monday when they will face Truman at Key Stadium at 5 p.m. ET.
