Alexi Hardie took the 1-0 win over the Truman Bulldogs on Monday night at Key Stadium.
The Hounds advance to 11-3-1 on the season, Hardie scored in the 109 minute for her first goal of the season with an assist by
Maddy Theis would end the nail-biting battle between the dogs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
With the Greyhounds nearly doubling the Bulldogs shots, with 21 shots to 12, and shots on goal with nine to four. The UIndy fielders dominated the Key Stadium turf, posting seven corner kicks and holding Truman to two.
The game was filled with physicality on both ends with the Greyhounds drawing 15 fouls, and committing 13. In the 60
th minute TSU's Kate Peterson was given a yellow card.
Mikaiah Haberkorn debuted in the goal for the Greyhounds today, taking her first win and clean sheet as the Goalkeeper, and posting four saves in 109:48 minutes. The Greyhounds defense worked the Bulldogs with a handful of blocks keeping the dogs caged offensively.
Dana Youssef shined for the Hounds defense with four shots and two on goal. She was matched by Midfielder
Kiki Sauceda.
Goalkeeper Beth Hopwood led TSU with seven saves in 109 minutes. Offensively Hanna Hickey contributed three shots, one of which was on goal.
