ROLLA, Mo. - The No. 6 UIndy men's soccer team (10-0-1, 10-0-1 GLVC) completed their third perfect weekend in a row on Saturday, shutting out the Missouri S&T Miners (3-7-1, 3-7-1 GLVC) 1-0 out west. Jeremy Fechtman would nail the game-winner at the 11' mark
INS & OUTS
Fechtman was able to find the ball after an inbounds pass rattled between several players, the ball jutting out to the right side off of a tip from Kendall Allen. The goalie not yet set back up from the initial cluster, Fechtman tapped the ball along the left side of the goal to squeeze it past the defender's reaching legs. The goal wouldn't be the only chance the Hounds' would take at the net in the contest, UIndy attempting 11 other times.
Dimitrios Karousos would garner two saves in the contest, both coming in the last 20 minutes of the contest. The first of the two was an easy catch for Karousos, the Miners sent a shot 20 yards out from the far right, straight into his arms. With eight minutes late, Missouri S&T was able to send off a corner kick over the Hounds' head and right in front of the goal, but a horizontal jump provided the perfect reaction time to prevent a Miners' score.

HOUND BYTES
Head coach John Higgins on the late-game pressure for the Greyhounds …
"In a 1-0 contest at the end, there's always going to be a lot of pressure, but
Dimitrios Karousos had that unbelievable save to have another clean sheet on the season in a game that we were really good defensively. We didn't put many shots away, but since we're so good defensively one goal is good enough for us right now."
Jeremy Fechtman on his first career goal …
"It was a hot game where they put us in a lot of situations that we were used to, so it put us in some uncomfortable situations. We kept the ball pretty well against the team on their turf, and it was an honor to get my first career today for the boys. We did our job in the end to get the result we wanted."
UP NEXT
The Hounds will take another undefeated weekend into a single road contest next week, taking on the Davenport Panthers for the second time this season on Friday, April 9. That game in Grand Rapids, Mich., will kick off at 1 p.m.
