Game 2: Lewis 2, UIndy 3
In a continuation of Friday's halted game, the two teams started tied at two in the top of the sixth. The Flyers threatened in the top of the frame with a runner in scoring position with two outs but a pop up in foul territory ended the threat.
Will Smithey led off the bottom of the seventh with a single through the left side. Reid Rector drew a walk to push pinch runner Brian Keeney into scoring position. Trey Smith laid down a bloop single in left center, allowing Keeney to score and give the Hounds their second straight walk off win against the Flyers.
Brandon DeWitt picked up his first win of the season on the mound, throwing the final two innings today and holding the Flyers to no hits and striking out two. Corey Bates took a no decision after throwing five innings on Friday with six hits, two runs and five strikeouts.
Game 3: Lewis 2, UIndy 0 (7 inn.)
Lewis wasted no time getting on the board with a two-out one run single in the top of the first. The Flyers added their second run in the third after a lead off double that scored on an infield groundout.
The Hounds offense couldn't find its rhythm with Trey Smith recording the lone hit for UIndy.
Myc Witty threw a complete game on the bump with seven strikeouts, eight hits and two runs in seven innings.
Game 4: Lewis 13, UIndy 1
The Flyers struck first again in the series finale after back-to-back doubles to lead off the second inning. It was déjà vu for the Hounds in the bottom of the third as Jacob Christie and Smith led off the frame with back-to-back doubles to tie the game at one.
Lewis broke open the game in the fourth, scoring six runs off of four hits including a three-run home run. They tacked on six more runs in the top of the seventh with another six hits.
John Hendry suffered his first loss of the season, going 3.1 innings with five hits, four runs and five strikeouts.
