Proved to be one of Ready's most reliable starters early on as a Greyhounds, Bates earned a win in his first start with UIndy in the season opener against Parkside (2/15) ... went a season-high eight innings at Oakland City in his next start, only allowing three hits while striking out seven against the Oaks ... recorded a season-high eight strikeouts twice on the year (Parkside, 2/15 and Oakland City, 3/2) ... finished the season with a 5.13 ERA, holding batters he face to a .286 average.
