Return of Peck, Saucerman Builds Win Over USI

INDIANAPOLIS – After nearly a full season absent, Sophia Saucerman returned to net, and she did not skip a beat. Earning six save shutout in 90 minutes played, the 2019 GLVC Freshman of the Year made her presence known in the 1 -0 matchup as the Hounds defeat Screaming Eagles.

Although she was not alone, as the 2019 Offensive Player of the Year, Taylor Peck, scored a header to secure the win, with an assist from Kiki Sauceda. The pair continued to fuel UIndy with offensive power, with Peck earning a goal off one shot, and Sauceda posting six shots with two on goal.

"It came down to one opportunity, who ever was going to put it into the net," said Head Coach Holly Cox. "Taylor Peck's return to the field, putting the ball in the back of the net like she does."

Southern Indiana was led by Alexis Schone, Katlyn Andres, and Peyton Wilkinson who posted two shots on goal each.
