INDIANAPOLIS - It was a picturesque night under the Key Stadium lights, where the UIndy women's soccer team took their first win of the season over the Cedarville Yellow Jackets. After a hat trick by
Kiki Sauceda and a loner by
Maria Herrero to top it off, the Hounds took the win 4-1.
"Scored some goals tonight, which is fun," Head Coach
Holly Cox said, "and good quality goals.".
The Greyhounds outshot the Yellow Jackets by over double
– 12 shots and five on goal
– led by Sauceda, who posted five shots and three on goal. Sauceda was the first to draw blood for the Greyhounds.
Freshman
Jenna Taghikhani saw her first minutes in net, manning the goal for the entirety of the match. She faced five shots and made one save, while allowing one goal.
