ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The University of Indianapolis volleyball team bounced back on day two of the Seawolf Invitational hosted by University of Alaska Anchorage.  The Hounds fell to Central Missouri 3-0 in their first match of the day, before securing their first win of the season, 3-1, over Biola.

HOW IT HAPPENED vs. Central Missouri
The Jennies took the first set 25-20 before posting scores of 25-17 in both the second and third set.

Lauren Cullison paced the Hounds with 12 kills while Alex Equihua dished out 31 assists.  Lauren Peal recorded 18 digs while Hannah Huppenbauer tallied a trio of blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED vs. Biola
UIndy dropped the first set 25-20 but rallied back for the 3-1 victory with scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 25-16.  The Hounds tabbed 59 kills in the match to Biola's 49.  The offense found its stride in the fourth set, posting a 0.243 hitting percentage with 15 kills on 37 attempts.

Three Hounds posted double figures in kills in Cullison (16), Emma Jones (13), and Grace Hegwood (12).  Equihua contributed 48 assists in the second match to reach 79 assists on the day.

ALL-TOURNAMENT NOD
MaKenna Barnhart earned Seawolf Invitational All-Tournament Team honors.  The defensive specialist recorded double figure digs in three of the four matches, totaling 45 digs on the weekend.  Barnhart also dished out 47 assists and two aces.

UP NEXT
The Hounds return home to Ruth Lilly Fitness Center this weekend to host the UIndy Invitational.  UIndy takes on Cedarville at 9 am and West Florida at 7 pm on Friday.  Saturday's schedule will be determined by Friday's pool play.
