Women’s Basketball Picked Sixth in GLVC Preseason Poll

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's basketball team has been picked to finish sixth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) this upcoming season, the league office announced on Thursday morning.

Last season, the Greyhounds finished with an overall record of 10-17 while collecting a 7-11 mark in the GLVC. UIndy made an appearance in the GLVC Championship Tournament as a No. 9 seed, but fell to No. 8-seeded Southwest Baptist in a first round contest.

The Hounds are set to bring back 10 members of the squad from a year ago while welcoming six newcomers. The coaching staff of head coach Marc Mitchell, assistant coaches Ashley Yu and Dr. Richard Jowers, and graduate assistant Kourtney Crane will all be beginning their first year in the Circle City.
