INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy women's basketball team (5-3, 3-1 GLVC) made a season-high 13 3-pointers and saw four players score in double figures on Saturday afternoon in a 90-77 win over Rockhurst (3-6, 0-3 GLVC) at Nicoson Hall. This marks the first time the UIndy women's basketball program has scored 90 points in a game since Feb. 22, 2020.

Idalis Ortiz managed a team-high 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field to go along with six rebounds.
Jodi Mullins and
Sadie Hill each produced 17 points with Mullins going 5-of-6 from the field with three 3-pointers, while Hill nearly missed out on another double-double as she corralled nine boards and dished out three assists.
Liv Becker also hit double figures with 14 points on a team-high four 3-pointers made.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hounds opened the afternoon with hot shooting from behind the arc by going 8-of-13 from deep through the first two quarters. The 41 points scored in the first 20 minutes was the most the Hounds have scored in an opening half so far this season. Most notably, Mullins emerged as the first half star by scoring 13 points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting effort from the field (3-of-3 from deep).

UIndy kept its foot on the gas out of the halftime locker room and improved its advantage to 15 points at the first media timeout. Rockhurst refused to fold, rolling out a 7-0 scoring run in the third which eventually led into the Hawks trimming the deficit to single-digits in the final quarter. Despite this, the Hounds were able to close out the contest strong while securing another conference victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-UIndy was hot from the field after shooting 56.1 percent (32-of-57). Rockhurst finished at 40.9 percent (27-66).
-The Hounds ended with a game-high 16 turnovers while the Hawks were close behind with 14.
-A total of 46 bench points were recorded this afternoon for the Greyhounds.
-Rockhurst led for just 17 seconds in the game.
