BOLIVAR, Mo. – The University of Indianapolis women's Basketball team fell to Southwest Baptist University 70-66 on Thursday night in GLVC action. The loss moves the Hounds to 9-12 overall and 6-7 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UIndy led for nearly half of the game and ended the first half up with a 36-30 lead. The Greyhounds shot over 53 percent to the Bearcats 45 percent. To end the match up the Hounds shot 51 percent to the Bearcats 43 however that was not enough to tame the Bearcats.
UIndy shot 45 percent from behind the arc including
Taylor Drury and
Marissa Knobloch who had three three's each.
Mya Scheidt paced the Hounds with 19 points and four assists while
Taylor Drury posted 16 points and eight rebounds.
Caroline Jakaitis had her best game of the season with four rebounds.
Southwest Baptist was led by Kelsey Blakemore 20 points and two rebounds.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-The Hounds scored 26 points in the paint, while SBU scored 30.
-The Greyhounds had 19 turnovers, while the Bearcats had 10.
-UIndy outrebounded SBU 26 to 22.
