BOLIVAR, Mo. – The UIndy women's basketball team dropped a road game to GLVC opponent Rockhurst on Saturday afternoon, 91-75. The loss brings the the Greyhounds record to 9-13 overall and 6-8 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The University of Indianapolis women's basketball team ended the first quarter up on the Hawks 23 to 19 but a mere seven-point UIndy and 20-point Rockhurst second quarter propelled the Hawks above the Hounds who were simply unable to make up the lost ground despite a 30 point fourth quarter.
Liz Alsot posted her season high of 19 points, just one under her career high which she set in her freshman season against Lake Superior State (11/21/18). The Wonder Lake, Ill. native added three rebounds and one assist along with the 19 points.
Three other Hounds dropped double-digits with
Marissa Knobloch posting 20 and hitting five of seven threes.
Taylor Drury had 14 points while leading the defensive charge with eight rebounds.
Mya Scheidt also had 10 points.
Daly Sullivan led the Hawks with 24 points and four rebounds.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-UIndy scored 19 points off of turnovers while the Hawks scored 18.
-UIndy shot 51 percent from three and Rockhurst shot 57 percent.
-The Hounds were out rebounded 37 to 23.
