INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis baseball team dropped its series finale to Northwood on Sunday afternoon by a final of 9-4. With the loss, UIndy falls victim to a series sweep against NU.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Timberwolves jumped out ahead 5-0 through two innings of play before the Greyhounds landed a few on the board.
Will Spear sent out an RBI single in the bottom half of the second that scored two from the bases to cut into the deficit.

The Hounds continued to climb back into the ballgame with another run in the third.
Denton Shepler rolled out a single through the left side that brought home a Greyhound runner.

Closing the gap further,
Caleb Vaughn added another UIndy run after crushing a solo homerun over the left field fence. This made the game 5-4 through five innings of play.

Despite the late game heroics, Northwood finished the game strong by adding a total of four insurance runs through the final four innings with no answer from UIndy.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-Northwood tallied a game-high 15 hits while UIndy had just six in return.
-Five different Greyhounds led the team with one hit from the plate.
-Spear (2), Shepler (1), and Vaughn (1) all tallied RBI's in the contest.

Logan Peterson earned the start from the bump and went six complete where he tallied six strikeouts while allowing 11 hits.

Blake Sarjent all saw action from the mound in the game.
