Wayne State opened the scoring in the contest with an RBI single in the second inning. The Greyhounds produced the equalizer in the fourth when Torosian crushed a solo homerun over the left-field wall, his second of the season.

The Warriors dealt the counter in the fifth by crossing two runs in the inning to take back the lead.
