INDIANAPOLIS – After a highly successful season in the pool for both University of Indianapolis swimming & diving programs, it is finally time for both to compete at the 2022 NCAA Division II Championships, held Wednesday through Saturday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. The men enter the four-day event fresh off a Great Lakes Valley Conference team championship while the women claimed the conference runner-up position.
Â
Last season at the
2021 NCAA DII Championships, both programs corralled a third-place finish, marking the highest landing spot ever for the women while matching the men's best finish. It was the third-straight time the men had finished in that position in the team rankings.
Â
In total, 37 student-athletes are set to compete this week for UIndy. Fourteen swimmers make up the lineup for the women while 16 swimmers fill things out for the men. Three women's and four men's divers will vie for a spot by competing at the pre-qualifying event. Both squads will also send out relay teams in all five relay events.
Â
Action is slated to begin on Tuesday with the diving pre-qualifying event. Â From there, swimming & diving preliminaries are set to open on Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET with the evening finals proceeding at 6 p.m. ET. That format will run all the way to the end on Saturday.
