Greyhounds Dealt Extra Inning Loss against Truman

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The University of Indianapolis baseball team fell 3-2 to Truman in extra innings in a low scoring conference clash on Friday afternoon in Kirksville. With the loss, the Hounds now sit at 7-14 overall on the season with a 2-3 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams played tremendous in the field through most of the game as a 0-0 stalemate occupied the scoreboard through seven and a half innings. Each squad had a couple of solid opportunities to break the tie, but neither could capitalize.

Finally, TSU scored two on a base hit in the bottom half of the eighth to take the first lead of the game. However, an RBI single by Drew Donaldson and a clutch two out RBI single by pinch hitter Aaron Blake in the ninth kept the game going.

The Bulldogs finally won the game in the 11th when the batter at the plate beat out a close throw to first base with two outs which scored the runner from third.
