INDIANAPOLIS- The University of Indianapolis baseball team fell twice in a doubleheader at Greyhound Park on Sunday afternoon against the Miners of Missouri S&T. With the loss, UIndy now sits at 13-17 overall with a 7-5 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

GAME 1 | Missouri S&T 14, UIndy 5
It took only the first two batters in the lineup for UIndy to gain an early advantage in the opening inning.
Brandon DeWitt led the game off with a double to left field and ended up scoring a few pitches later on an
Alex Vela RBI single up the middle. The runs kept coming in the inning, with one crossing on a walk with the bases loaded, another on a throwing error, and two more on a
Will Spear RBI single to right field.
Â
S&T ended up tying the game with two runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth. Then, the Miners took complete control of the game by scoring nine combined between the sixth and seventh innings to lock up the victory.
