QUINCY, Ill. – The University of Indianapolis baseball team opened its road Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) series on Thursday afternoon with a 14-4 loss in seven innings against Quincy. The loss drops UIndy to 15-18 overall with a 7-6 record in the GLVC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite a solo home run in the opening inning by the Hawks, the Greyhounds grabbed the lead in the second on a
Zack Williams RBI groundout and
Jared Bujdos RBI single to left field.

Quincy delivered the knockout punch with nine runs in the bottom half of the third.
Will Spear brought home two runs on an RBI single in the seventh, but the Hawks answered with three more in the bottom half of that inning to lock up the eventual run-rule victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-UIndy had eight hits on offense while Quincy had 13.
-The Hawks tallied a total of five home runs.
-Williams and Bujdos each had two hits from the dish to lead UIndy.

Logan Peterson picked up the start from the mound and recorded three strikeouts.
Kase Lawson came in for relief and tossed four complete with three Ks of his own.
