Greyhounds Featured on WGCA Year-End Awards List

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.— The Women's Golf Coaches Association has announced a host of postseason awards Thursday, with UIndy student athletes prominently featured. The release included three Greyhounds on the all-region list, one among the All-Americans, and finally Anna Kramer as the Division II Kim Moore Spirit Award winner.

Named after UIndy alum Kim Moore, Kramer became the first Greyhound to win the Kim Moore Spirit Award since Ashtyn Brown in 2009. Other Hounds to receive the honor including Jenna Brown (2005) and Kim Moore herself (2003).

FROM THE WGCA
"This award is dedicated to Kim Moore, who played golf for the University of Indianapolis (1999-2003).  Kim was an inspiration to all as she persevered through many physical challenges while playing collegiate golf.  Her positive outlook and dedication toward the game was only out done by her sense of humor and passion for the game.

"The purpose of the award is to recognize and honor a student-athlete or coach who exemplifies a great spirit toward the game of golf, a positive attitude on and off the golf course, a role model for her team and mental toughness in facing challenges."

Here postseason included a third-place showing at the GLVC Championships, a fourth-place performance at the NCAA DII East Regional and finally a T-20 finish at the NCAA DII Championships.

Dy was also one of three Hounds on the All-East Region list, joining Kramer senior Elyse Stasil. Kramer garnered her third consecutive all-region recognition while Stasil picked up her first.
