QUINCY, Ill. – The UIndy volleyball team (9-6, 2-2 GLVC) dominated No. 25 Quincy (14-1, 4-1 GLVC) on Friday night, picking up its first road victory of the season with the sweep to knock off the undefeated Hawks.

Sophia Parlanti recorded a match-high 18 kills, while middles
Elizabeth Eads and
Hannah Huppenbauer combined for 16 finishes on .438 attacking.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhounds were in control nearly every step of the way inside QU's Pepsi Arena on Friday, outside the tight opening frame. A kill from Parlanti capped an important 6-2 run to give UIndy a 22-16 advantage; however, the Hawks quickly answered to knot the set at 23 apiece.
Lauren Cullison's third kill of the night gave the Hounds the lead for good to give the visitors an early lead.

After pulling away midway through the second game off a kill from Eads, the Greyhounds entered the finale with a hunger. UIndy attacked at a .486 clip in the third set, totaling 18 kills against one error. Five of Parlanti's 18 putaways came in the final frame, while
Grace Hegwood joined her Roncalli classmate Eads with late kills to finish off the sweep.

Claire Morris recorded a double-double in the sweep, finishing with 20 assists and 11 digs.
