BOLIVAR, Mo. – The UIndy men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on Saturday. Over 300 athletes from 14 different schools competed for the individual and team titles.
 
INS & OUTS
The women's 5k was up first. Hailey Orosz led the pack of Greyhounds to a sixth-place team finish. Orosz finished 18^th overall with a time of 22:45.54. Mariah Judy was also in the top-20 when she crossed the finish line at 22:52.93, she came in 20^th. Both athletes were named to the All-GLVC team.
 
Lewis took home the women's cross country GLVC team final. Flyer Hannah Smrcka finished first, earning her the GLVC individual title.
 
On the men's side, Tom Saint-Juvin was the first Hound to finish in their 8k race. The French native came in 18th after clocking a time of 25:55.53. Saint-Juvin also earned a place in the All-GLVC team with his top-20 finish.
 
Fellow Frenchman Felix Rivet crossed the line next. Rivet finished his race in 36th place with a time of 26:35.95.
 
Lewis also took home the GLVC men's cross country team title. Univeristy of Illinois-Springfield runner Cortland Ross won the individual title.
 
"The ladies got out well and ran to the level we were hoping for," said head coach Brad Robinson. "We came away with 2 all conference runners on the women's side. The men got out strong, but the heat got the best of us as we faded to 7th. Tom Saint-Juvin led our men with an All Conference finish."

UP NEXT
The Greyhounds will travel to nearby Evansville, Ind. to compete in the DII Midwest Regional. The meet will take place on Nov. 4th at Angel Mounds Park.
