INDIANAPOLIS—The No. 12 UIndy football team celebrated Homecoming with a 59-17 victory against the visiting Cardinals of William Jewell Saturday night. The Greyhounds racked up an impressive 648 total yards while setting season highs in points scored and scoring margin.

It was a four-point game after the first 15 minutes, but UIndy pulled away with a big second quarter. Sophomore running back
Jon Lewis started the surge with a 49-yard touchdown rush early in the second, while
Kaleb Carver bookended it with a short TD catch with just five seconds left in the half.

Up 31-10 at the break, the Hounds carried the momentum into the second half. Lewis extended the lead midway through third quarter with another rushing TD, capping a lengthy 11-play, 84-yard drive.

UIndy tacked one three more touchdowns, including a pair of fourth-quarter scores from
Lenny Bennett.

INSIDE THE BOX
-The Hounds combined for five rushing TDs and averaged 8.5 yards per carry.

Justin Thomas earned two of the team's eight tackles for a loss, while adding a pair of QB hurries.
-Carver's five-yard touchdown catch was his first career score.
-Ten Greyhounds caught at least one reception, while defensively 20 different Hounds garnered at least one tackle.
