Patton Notches Double-Double in Loss to GSU

UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. - The UIndy women's basketball team lost to host Governors State, 76-67, on Tuesday night in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Elana Wells paced the team with 20 points and four assists while Jada Patton had her first career double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds came into the fourth quarter trailing by 15 points but methodically cut into the margin to make it a two-possession game with four minutes left. With five points apiece coming from Wells and Patton, UIndy went on a 12-4 run to cut it to 66-61 with 3:55 to go.

But a rare five-point possession by the home team sparked a 10-2 rally that ultimately proved too much for the Hounds to overcome.

INSIDE THE BOX
- Wells finished 7-for-10 from the field while Patton was a perfect 7-for-7 from the foul line.
- The UIndy bench contributed 31 points on the night.

- The Greyhounds finished with 50 boards during the contest, while the Jaguars only had 39.
