INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis junior Maissane Aik and sophomore Louis Picaud have respectively been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Week in women's and men's tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday. 
 
WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Maissane Aik, #8 Indianapolis

Major: Computer Sciences
Team Results: 6-1 W vs. Grand Valley State (2/4) | 4-1 W vs. Ferris State (2/5)

• Went 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 1-1 at No. 3 doubles in helping UIndy to pair of regional road wins
• Beat GVSU's Taylor Barrett (6-1, 6-3) and Ferris' Morgan Waller (6-4, 6-4)
• Won 6-2 at doubles with Maria Fiacan against GVSU's Amanda Diaz and Anna Soteras
• Earns second career Player of the Week Award (2/7/23, 2/15/22)
• Last Greyhounds' Player of the Week: Kristina Lagoda (3/22/22)

 
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Louis Picaud, #7 Indianapolis

Major: Business Administration & Management
Team Results: 7-0 W at Grand Valley State (2/4) | 4-0 W at Ferris State (2/5)

• Went 2-0 at both No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles last week, helping UIndy to pair of regional road sweeps
• Took singles wins over GVSU's Martin Matov (7-6, 6-4) and Ferris' Benjamin Lortie (6-1, 6-4)
• Partnered with Erwan Momo Andre for wins over GVSU's Jack Dausman/Freddy Cossio (6-3) and Ferris' Alessand Santangelo/Esunge Ndumbe (6-4)
• Earns first career Player of the Week Award
