Men's Lax Scores League Win in Home Finale

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 4 UIndy men's lacrosse team (9-1, 3-0 GLVC) upped its win streak to five on Saturday, capping its regular-season home slate with a 15-11 victory over Maryville (6-5, 1-2 GLVC) from Key Stadium.

The Greyhounds scored nine second-half goals, including six in the final 14 minutes, to finish the comeback, improving to 7-0 all-time against the Saints. Drew Billig led all players with six points on one goal and five assists, while Kyle Basch finished with seven ground balls and two caused turnovers.

INS & OUTS
Beau Howard broke the dam early in the fourth with his second goal of the afternoon, giving UIndy the lead for good. It was Ben Foster leading the attack in the final frame, scoring twice, while Triston Schaffer and Wyatt Auyer joined the fun.

In his first season at UIndy, Jake Allen, who transferred from Maryville prior to the academic year, also tallied his third goal of the contest for his first hat trick of the spring.

It was a tight league tilt at Key until the fourth quarter, as the teams exchanged leads on four occasions and were tied eight times throughout 60 minutes. Six of KC Carlson's 10 saves came in the second half, including a pair of stops in the final five minutes to fend off a potential Maryville comeback.

One week after setting a new program record in faceoff wins, Caleb Parker secured 20 more against Saints on Saturday, adding six scoops and one caused turnover in the win.
