SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The University of Indianapolis women's soccer team fell by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon to the Drury University Panthers. The Hounds now fall to 2-3-1 on the season with an even 1-1 mark in conference play.

The Greyhounds struggled to overcome a potent offense by the Panthers, only getting off five shots in the contest to Drury's 21.

The shot spree for the Panthers got going early, as they marched into Greyhound territory, going on to rattle off seven shots before the 18 minute mark of the contest. A pair of shots the Hounds, coming from
Faith Dean and
Sarah Wegener where the answer but nothing found the net.

Drury continued to press and placed a ball right in front of the Hounds net, but unfortunate struck the Hounds as an attempted clear rattled into a fellow Greyhound and landed in the Hounds own net marking the first score of the contest.

After carrying their lead into the second half, the Panthers did not let up on the Hounds. They went on to rattle off five more shots before finally finding the back of the net at the 82nd minute, icing the contest with little time left on the clock.

INSIDE THE BOX
- Once again between the sticks,
Kendall Ellis faced a season high 21 shots in the contest, rattling off a career-high seven saves.
- The Hounds struggled with fouls in the second, tallying eight of their game total 13 in the second half.
