INDIANAPOLIS – The national ranked University of Indianapolis men's soccer team defeated William Jewel on Sunday afternoon 3-1. The Greyhounds are now undefeated (4-0-0) in GLVC play. Three different UIndy players added their own tally to the board.Â

The Hounds started off the match with a bang. Just 16 minutes in,
Owen Atkison tipped the ball in with the help of
Roman Beko. UIndy continued to keep play near the Jewell goal for the remainder of the half. They attempted four shots, two on goal, in the last 30 minutes of the first period.

The Greyhound defensive trio of
Niklas Thanhofer,
Pierre Lurot, and
Bobby Turner helped hold the Cardinals to only seven shots, two on goal, for the day.

The second half kicked off with a goal by William Jewell at the 48-minute mark. The Hounds responded with their own goal, scored by
Carl Ringstrom.

A yellow card in the 76th minute on the Cardinal's goalie allowed a UIndy penalty kick.
Michael Tselios found the back of the net to cement the win.
