LIBERTY, Mo. - The UIndy women's basketball team returned to the win column after defeating William Jewell, 91-71. The Greyhounds are now 8-7 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
Shekinah Thomas finished with 17 points for the Greyhound. The newcomer was 7-for-8 overall from the field and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.
Ilani Williams-Harris also had a career night. Williams-Harris had her first career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
INS & OUTS
In the third quarter, the Greyhounds dominated with a total of 32 points. This was done through two significant runs. The first one was in the opening 1:45 of the half, going 8-2 over the Cardinals.
Jodi Mullins contributed six points. The second run was in the middle of the quarter. UIndy went 11-2 for 2:12, with Thomas having five points.
The quarter was topped off with a buzzer beater by Thomas. The Greyhounds lead the Cardinals 76-55, the largest lead at 23 points.
UIndy was able to create momentum in the second quarter. A set of runs helped the Greyhounds go into halftime with a 44-37 lead.
INSIDE THE BOX
- William-Harris's double-double was the sixth Greyhound double-double this season.

Jodi Mullins finished with 18 points, a team-high. Mullins was 7-for-13 from the field.
- UIndy finished with 48 rebounds and held William Jewell to only 25.
- The Hounds took advantage of their time at the charity strip. The team finished the game going 23-for-28 (82.1 percent).

William Jewell's top scorer was Emree Zars. Zars finished with 21 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, all team highs. ... UIndy continues to lead William Jewell, 9-5, in the all-time series.
