NDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy women's basketball team fell to McKendree, 95-92, in overtime on Saturday. The Greyhounds are now 9-8 overall this season and 6-5 in GLVC.
Liv Becker had an outstanding game. Becker finished 23 points, going 8-for-15 from the field.
Jada Patton also had a great game with her second double-double of the season. Patton finished with 14 points and rebounds.
INS & OUTS
UIndy came out in the third quarter ready to take the lead. The Greyhounds went on an 11-2 run for 2:38 in the beginning of the quarter. Becker contributed five points. The Hounds were able to outscore the Bearcats 23-18 to lead by one going into the final 10 minutes.
To open the fourth quarter, UIndy went on a 10-point uncontested run to increase the lead to nine. McKendree came back and the contest went wire-to-wire. In the final seconds, Patton was able to tie the game 85-85 to send the game into overtime.
An early 8-0 run by McKendree was too much for UIndy to overcome in overtime.
INSIDE THE BOX
- UIndy was 100 percent from the charity stripe, going 14-14. This earns the team the third spot in the single-game percentage in UIndy history.
- Today's double-double by Patton is the eighth this season for the Hounds, second this season for the sophomore.
- The team was able to get near the glass to record 41 rebounds in the contest. UIndy was able to hold McKendree to only 36.
- The Greyhound bench was able to make their impact on the court as well. The bench was able to score 45 points.
- UIndy also took advantage of second chances. The Hounds had 11 second-chance points at the end of the contest.
MORE NOTES
McKendree's top scorer was Clare Breden. Braden had 27 points on the day. ...UIndy continues the lead the all-time series 15-5.

The Greyhounds will travel to Romeoville, Ill. next weekend to face Lewis. The contest will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27, with tip-off scheduled for 2 PM ET.
