INDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy women's basketball team fell to Maryville, 78-75, on Saturday afternoon. The Greyhounds are now 7-6 and 4-3 in GLVC play.
 
Elana Wells had her seventh 20-point game of the season, the third in a row. Wells finished with 26 points and eight assists, another team high.
 
INS & OUTS
UIndy cut a 19-point deficit in the fourth quarter to take the game into overtime. An 11-3 run from 8:29 to 4:27 cut the lead down to one. A layup by Patricia Chikamba gave the Greyhounds their first lead of the game with 2:50 left in the contest.

The score was 66-66 going into overtime. Maryville went on a 5-0 run in the first 41 seconds which was too much for the Hounds to overcome.
 
INSIDE THE BOX
- Three other Greyhounds finished in double digits: Liv Becker (14), Idalis Ortiz (11), and Chikamba (10)
- Both teams finished the game with 47 rebounds.
- The Hounds finished with six blocks, three came from Caroline Jakaitis
- UIndy struggled with turnovers, having 16 on the night that led to 22 points.

The all-time record is now 9-7, with Saints leading the Hounds.

UIndy will visit Rockhurst and William Jewell next weekend. The Greyhounds will first visit the Hawks in Kansas City, Mo., on Jan. 11. Tipoff is slated for 6:15 p.m. ET. On Jan. 13, the Hounds will face the Cardinals at 2 p.m. ET a short drive away in Liberty, Mo.
