BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The UIndy baseball team, after making a last minute location switch to the alma mater of pitching coach
Adam Cornwell in Bloomington North High School, dropped the second game of the series to the Quincy Hawks. The short fences bit the Hounds as the Hawks took the game 11-6, sending four out of the park, with two coming off the lead-off man's bat in David Broughton.

Zack Williams returned the favor for the Hounds late, crushing a ball to left to cap off a two-for-three day for the UIndy first baseman.

On the mound, UIndy employed four arms with E.J White getting hit with the loss after a rough-seventh inning.
Carter Nowak toed the slab as the starter, going 5 & 1/3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Cole Hampton got the boys rolling early, ripping a ball through the left side which allowed Williams to make the short trot home from third, giving the Hounds an early lead.
The Hawks ripped that lead out of the Hounds hands with a big three-run blast in the second. But just as quicly the Hounds evened it up with
Bryce Goodwine and
Easton Good both laying down big bunts that resulted in two more Hound runs.
Back-and-forth baseball continued in the fifth as another Quincy dinger and then a massive up-the-middle knock by
Caleb Vaughn brought it to 5-4 Hounds.
That was the last time the Hounds saw the lead, however, as homers in the seventh, eighth and ninth, alongside a pair of RBI singles, ballooned the lead to 11-5. Williams tried to ignite some Cardiac Hounds action with a bottom of the ninth nuke but it was too little too late.
UP NEXT
The Hounds and Hawks will determine the results of the series in a pair of seven inning contests tomorrow at Greyhound Park. The first game is set to start at noon, with the second to follow thirty minutes after.
