INDIANAPOLIS – Carrying an 11-game winning streak, the University of Indianapolis baseball team has landed as the No. 2 team in the NCAA Regional Rankings. Alongside that, the Hounds have landed at No. 20 in the latest NCBWA rankings, jumping up five spots from last poll.
 
The Hounds currently sit at 32-14 in Division II competition, with a 32-11 mark in the region. They are joined by Maryville, Drury and UIS in the region as the GLVC representation.
 
The Greyhounds have 16 total NCAA tournament appearances, with their most recent being exciting to say the least. Just a season ago the Hounds made history as the first No. 7-seed to reach the College World Series, dethroning UIS and Maryville in the regional and eventually Quincy in the Super-Regional on the way.
 
The Hounds carry an all-time NCAA tournament record of 27-32 while claiming the regional crown in both 2000, 2012 and 2023. The Hounds are looking to make their second straight dance, a feat they have not accomplished since the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
 
Right now, the Hounds have seven of their starters batting above .300 on the season, with Easton Good, Cole Hampton and Zack Williams all carrying OPS marks of above 1.000.
