ST. LOUIS – While sitting in the hotel in Saginaw, Mich. a day out from their the second-straight NCAA DII Midwest Super Regional, the No. 16-ranked University of Indianapolis baseball team has garnered two more All-Region nods with E.J. White grabbing his second first team selection and Cole Hampton finding himself upon the second team.
 
For Hampton is his second-straight season finding himself among this list, doing it while donning the Green and Gold of Missouri S&T last year. As for White, he was already named NCBWA All-Midwest First Team a week prior.
 
White currently sits fourth in all of Division II in appearances at 29, just two shy of the first-place mark. He's in a similar position for the saves leaderboard, sitting fifth with 12, with more opportunities to come as the Hounds continue their hunt for another regional title.
 
The Hounds third baseman in Hampton, despite having a slow start to his Crimson and Grey tenure, has blossomed into the power bat the Hounds needed as they have made their playoff push. Otherwise known as "Champ," the junior from Edwardsville, Ill. has earned that nickname and more, carrying a .323 average to complement a 1.029 OPS which places him second among the Hounds. His power is where the four-hole bat has shined as he has slugged .572 into this point of the season with 21 doubles, two triples and nine dingers, all resulting in 59 RBIs. He also sits among the nation's best in HBP, having been beaned 21 times his season.
