WACO, Texas – The University of Indianapolis football team will open the 2024 season as the 16th-ranked team in the nation, according to the newly-released American Football Coaches Association DII Preseason Poll. As the two-time reigning
GLVC champions and
current league favorites, the Greyhounds will be gunning for a return trip to the NCAA DII playoffs in November.
UIndy is the lone GLVC representation in the top 25 but one of eight Super Region 3 teams. Each of the top four teams in the poll and five of the top six hail from SR3, including defending nation-champ Harding University. UIndy's week-two opponent, GLVC-rival Truman State University, is among those receiving votes.
