DEWITT, Ill. – The UIndy women's triathlon team capped its final regular season race at the Prairie State Cup hosted by Milliken University on Saturday with a pair of top-20 finishers.

Lex Wilhelm led the Greyhounds with an eighth-place effort, crossing the finish line in 1:10.27, more than one minute faster than last weekend's race at the Beaver County Tri Cup.
Gabrielle Harrell was just a few minutes behind her teammate at 1:14.43.

The pair of Hounds finished strong, placing first and fourth, respectively, in the running leg among all athletes.

Lillian Sunbury and
Hanna Burke slid just inside the top 40, while
Ainsleigh Cardone joined them moments later in 41st at 1:23.45. Cardone and Burke posted the top two swimming times among all Greyhounds.

In 55th was
Miah Sosenheimer, posting her best bike time of the fall with a 41:31 effort in the 20k race.

Sydney Rhodehamel and
Jazmin-Maria Cardona also competed, rounding out the list of UIndy competitors.

The Greyhounds will rest for a few weeks before competing at the USA Triathlon West Regional Qualifier in Springfield, Mo., on Oct. 12.
