FROSTBURG, Md. - The UIndy women's volleyball team finished their time at the Bobcat Invitational with three-set sweeps over Frostburg State and Goldey-Beacom. The Greyhounds extend their win streak to nine, with the last five wins being three-set sweeps.
Senior
Sophia Parlanti led the team in kills during both contests. Parlanti totaled 29 kills during the day, hitting .338. The senior also tabbed five digs and 3.5 blocks.
MATCH 1 | UIndy 3, Frostburg State 0
The Greyhounds defeated the host school in three straight sets. The Hounds won the first two sets by two points and cemented their win with an 11-point margin in the third.
UIndy hit .306 during the match while holding the Bobcats to .192. Parlanti had 17 kills during the game, hitting .342. Freshman
Madeline Lynch grabbed 10 kills and Sophomore
Maddie Berger tabbed eight.
Redshirt junior,
Claire Morris picked up 39 assists during the match. She was also a key player on defense with her and sophomore Riley Lane grabbing three blocks.
Also on defense, sophomore
Macy Bruton tabbed four aces. Libero, sophomore
Ellie Spang, finished with 14 digs.
MATCH 2 | UIndy, Goldey-Beacom
The Greyhounds overpowered the Lightning during the match. UIndy did not allow GBC to reach 10 points in each set and held them to .027 hitting. The Hounds hit .231 during the contest, totaling 39 kills.
Parlanti led the team in kills with 12, hitting .333. Lane picked up eight kills and freshman
Kelsey McKenney had seven. Morris was there for the assist, grabbing 30 of them.
McKenney tabbed four blocks on defense. Spang was a staple on the back line, picking up 14 digs. Senior
Lauren Peal and Morris had nine and eight digs, respectively.

The Greyhounds enter GLVC play next weekend as they visit Drury and Southwest Baptist. First up is Drury on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. ET in Springfield, Mo., on Saturday, Sept. 28 the Hounds head to Bolivar Mo. to take on SBU at 4 p.m. ET.
