Hounds Compete at IWU Twilight Invitational

MARION, Ind. - The UIndy men's and women's cross country team started off its 2024 campaign at the Twilight Invitational hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. This meet featured a 6K course for the women and 8K for the men, something they do not see until the NCAA Regional meets.

The men finished with 313 points, placing 13th out of 22 teams competing at the event with over 250 runners competing. Leading the pack for the Hounds was Felix Rivet in 21st place. Rivet clocked 25:41.4, only 8.5 seconds away from his personal best. Coming in behind him was freshman Conyer Wilson, who clocked 26:26.0, finishing his first collegiate race in 53rd place.

On the women's side, UIndy finished 18th out of 20 team with 543 points. Emma Gaston was the first Greyhound to finish. Gaston placed 102nd and completed the course in 15:49.3.

*Originally 19th, the Hounds moved up one position in the final standings due to an ineligible student-athlete competing for Huntington.
