ALLENDALE, Mich. – In a matchup of top-five programs, the UIndy swimming & diving split a marquee dual at Grand Valley State Saturday afternoon. Both Lakers teams are ranked No. 4 in the initial
CSCAA Division II dual meet rankings, while both Greyhound squads are ranked third.

Senior
Jeremias Pock continued to lead the Hounds, spearheading a dominant performance in the breaststroke races. The Greyhounds went 1-2-3 in both the 100 and 200 breast; with Pock,
Sawyer Lehman and
Mmusi Matthews sweeping the podium spots in both.
Pock also won the 200 IM and helped the Hounds to a victory in the 200 medley relay. Pock swam the breaststroke leg in the relay win and was joined by
Camille Trinquesse,
Elias Noe and
Zachary Anthony.
Freshman
Swann Plaza took care of business in the distance events, winning both the 500 and 1000 free races. The Frenchman dominated with a 13-plus second win in the 1000 before edging teammate
Jan Schmidt in the 500.
Other wins came from Noe (100 fly),
Harrison Andoko (200 free) and
Silas Buessing (200 back).
On the women's side,
Celina Schmidt led a successful breaststroke group. The two-time national champ touched first in both the 100 and 200 breast. Fellow-All-American
Megan Gregory was the runner-up in the 100, while
Elisa Funes took third in the 200.
Some Greyhound newcomers also tasted success.
Caprice Schlueter captured gold in the 100 fly, out-touching teammate
Danila Sita by just .06 seconds. Prior to that, freshman
Valentina Masella won the 100 back.
The Greyhounds swept the 3-meter diving competition, with
Megan Sunderman and
Donovan McMahon taking first in their respective fields. Both divers led the Hounds on the 1-meter as well, with Donovan earning the runner-up spot among the men and Sunderman placing fifth among the women.
UP NEXT
Only the mid-season meet remains on the schedule for the 2025 calendar year. The Hounds will head to Ohio and Miami University for the Miami Invitational on November 20-22.
