ALLENDALE, Mich. – The NCBWA All-Midwest Region Teams were released Friday, with redshirt junior Austin Bode selected to the All-Midwest Region first team in his first season with the Greyhounds.
After stints at both Indiana and Louisville, Bode has been a key piece of the Hounds' offense in year one. He has been slashing it at the plate all season, posting team highs batting average (.407), doubles (23), hits (77), on base percentage (.500), runs (50), and total bases (131). He ranks top five in all other offensive statistical categories for the Hounds in his 51 games played for the Greyhounds.
So far in the Greyhounds' four postseason games, Bode has recorded a hit in three of four games, while also notching multi hit games in two of those four games. This All-Midwest Region first team selection adds to his individual trophy collection for the 2025 campaign, as he was also honored on the 2025 All-GLVC first team just last week.
The Greyhounds squad is currently in the NCAA Midwest Regional tournament, and are looking to claim their third straight NCAA DII Midwest Super Regional title. For more information, follow along on the regional's homepage.
