Young T-20th Going into Final Day of Regionals

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Cameron Young of the UIndy men's golf team is tied for 20th after round two at the NCAA DII Midwest/Central Regional. Hosted by Missouri Western at St. Joseph Country Club, Young competes as an individual at the event.
 
At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals May 19-23 at PGA National - Champions Course in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
 
FRIDAY
The sophomore shot +3 (74) during the second round, putting him at +4 after 26 holes. Young shot one under par during the front nine, but two double bogies on the back nine hurt his score.
 
THURSDAY
Young shot +1 (72) after the first 18 holes for his share of 13th place. The sophomore accumulated four bogies to three birdies on the par 71 course. The English native's birdies came during the back nine to move him up in the rankings.
