GREENSBORO, N.C. – The ABCA Midwest All-Defensive Teams were released Thursday, with sophomore left-handed pitcher Bennett Rogers selected to the All-Defensive team as the Midwest region's starting pitcher.

In just two seasons with the Greyhounds, Rogers has made a name for himself on the bump, with career numbers in his second season. He became one of the key pitchers in the Hounds' rotation, posting a 5.09 ERA with seven wins in 12 games started. He also racked up 90 punch outs on the season, which included six outings with at least eight strikeouts. 

Rogers threw four consecutive complete games this season, which is the most consecutive complete games thrown by a Greyhound pitcher since 2013. He also helped put UIndy into their third straight NCAA Midwest Super Regional with a stellar six inning performance where he only allowed one run on six hits and 11 strikeouts.  

Since the ABCA began releasing the All-Defensive teams in 2023, Rogers is the first Greyhound to be represented on the All-Defensive teams at any position.
