Terre Haute, Ind.— The UIndy men's and women's cross country teams competed in the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Saturday morning. The race, hosted at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, featured 13 teams for the men's 8k race and 11 teams competing in the women's 6k.
Men's Recap
Senior Felix Rivet was the first to finish for the Hounds, clocking 24:58.36, fast enough for a third-place finish, and was the first non-division 1 runner to cross the line. Next up for the Hounds, sophomore Conyer Wilson clocked a 26:11.25, followed by junior Josue Le Cadre coming in at 26:39.81. Junior Yanis Le Mouillor finished with a 27:12.29, .01 second faster than his first race as a Greyhound at the Twilight Invitational.
Women's Recap
Senior Hailey Orosz led the way for the Greyhounds, finishing 13th out of 107 in the women's 6k with a 22:27.10. Savannah Danielson shaved three seconds off her first collegiate race, clocking a 24:45.3 for the squad. Sophia Stadler was the third Hound to finish, clocking a 25:37.12 in the second race of her collegiate career.
