KENOSHA, Wis.— The University of Indianapolis men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Kenosha, Wisconsin to compete in the Lucian Rosa Invite, hosted by Parkside.
Both men's and women's races saw teams from over 20 teams with over 200 individuals competing in both the 6k and 8k.
Women's Recap
Senior Hailey Orosz led the squad in the women's 6k race, recording a 22:31.2 for the Hounds. Orosz was the highest Greyhound finisher, man or woman, on the day, coming in 43rd out of 205 runners. Senior Emma Gaston was the next Hound across the line, finishing in a season's best 24:00.2. Rounding out the top three for the Hounds, Freshman Savannah Danielson slashed nearly 38 seconds off her finish last outing, finding a new PR with a 24:07.0 finish. Freshman Sophia Stadler also set a new PR in today's race, clocking a 24:42.5.
Men's Recap
On the men's side, sophomore Conyer Wilson led the Hounds in the 8k race, finishing with a 25:50.2. Freshman Ian Pugh was the next UIndy runner to cross the line, notching a 25:54.3 for the squad. Junior Yanis Le Mouillour shaved 11 seconds off his time from just a week ago, finishing in 27.01.8.
