INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's tennis team reveals its 2026 schedule Wednesday. Now entering the 14th year of Malik Tabet's oversight of the program, the Greyhounds open their season with a home dual against Rockhurst, with the match set for Jan. 30 at 6 PM in the UIndy Tennis Center.
The Hounds return seven players from last year's NCAA Quarterfinalist squad. UIndy finished last year's campaign with a 22-4 record and a GLVC Tournament Championship, dethroning eight ranked-opponents en route to an 18-match win streak. After clinching the Midwest Regional Championship, the eight-seeded Hounds earned a 4-1 win over No. 18 Charleston in the NCAA Championship's round of 16, before losing a tight-knit match to No. 1 Valdosta State, the eventual winner of the DII National Championship.
Headlining the early workings of the new season is the 2026 ITA National Indoor Championship, beginning Feb. 13th at the UIndy Tennis Center. The marquee winter event hosts the top teams in DII tennis, highlighted by No.1 Barry University.
In all, the Hounds will play 13 of their 19 regular-season matches on home soil, before hosting the 2026 GLVC Championship Tournament Friday, May 1.
