Austin Bode and
Chase Mason were selected to the D2Baseball.com's 2026 Preseason All-American second team, announced Monday.
Bode was a key contributor to Hounds' offensive success last season, as he produced a .392 batting average, a .665 slugging percentage, and had a .484 on-base percentage, while also leading the GLVC in doubles (24) and hits (83), while ranking in the top 10 in the conference in OPS (1.148), RBIs (48) and runs scored (56).Â
He also added a plethora of awards for his 2025 campaign; 2025 NCBWA All-American Honorable Mention, 2025 ACBA/Rawlings All-Region Midwest First Team, 2025 D2CCA All-Midwest Region First Team, 2025 NCBWA All-Midwest Region First Team, 2025 All-GLVC First Team, 2025 Academic All-GLVC and a GLVC Player of the Week honors (4/28/25).
The second Greyhound to appear on this list is catcher
Chase Mason, who in his first season with the Greyhounds ranked first on the team in walks (40) and on-base percentage (.486), while also racking up a .346 batting average, 48 runs, 34 RBIs, 12 doubles, and eight home runs. Â
Bode, Mason and the rest of the Greyhound squad will start their journey to its third College World Series appearance in the last four seasons when they take on Mississippi College in a weekend series starting on Jan. 30.Â
