INDIANAPOLIS — Following the Greyhounds'
trip to Hilton Head, S.C., the UIndy women's golf team remains in the top-25 of the Scoreboard national poll, coming in at No. 13 in the latest edition of the rankings.
Along with the top-15 team ranking, freshman
Paige Giovenco has also moved her way up into the top-25 of the individual rankings at No. 21 after a T8 finish at the Battle of Hilton Head.
UIndy remains only one of four teams from the NCAA DII East Region in the top-25 of the latest poll, and is the only GLVC school to crack the top-25.Â
The Hounds capped off this past weekend with a seventh place finish against a strong field that featured five other teams besides UIndy in the latest top-25 rankings; Erksine, Lander, Lincoln Memorial, North Georgia, and Wingate. Giovenco had the best showing in the individual portion of the event with a T8 finish, while
Caroline Whallon earned her fourth top-30 finish this season.  Â
The team will have a few weeks of prep before heading back down to South Carolina for the Oldfield Intercollegiate on Mar. 16-17.
